Adopted by the National Council on June 22, 2022, Slovakia's Media Services Act (No. 264/2022 Coll.) requires video-sharing platforms to protect minors from content that could harm their physical, mental or moral development, using measures that include user reporting, parental controls and age-verification systems. The video-sharing-platform duties took effect July 24, 2024 and are enforced by the Council for Media Services.
